Blockchain Practice Group
SFL’s Blockchain Team represents corporate and entrepreneurial clients navigating the world of blockchain in a variety of different ways. Our attorneys and staff assist clients engaging in blockchain transactions, including negotiating and closing NFT purchase, sale, and licensing agreements, registering NFT and metaverse trademarks, and implementing and evaluating tokens and dApps. Our roster of litigators and trial lawyers also advocate on behalf of clients that find themselves in international litigation and arbitration centered around blockchain-based disputes, including conflicts stemming from DeFi and smart contract agreements, Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs), and infringement of intellectual property rights.
SFL’s Blockchain Team is comprised of accomplished attorneys familiar with the blockchain technology that is shaping the newest economic frontier. Our lawyers have obtained certifications in the Economics of Blockchain and Digital Assets from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), as well as industry specific training through blockchain programs such as Consensys Academy. In the legal field, our attorneys have also served as panel speakers for the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law on topics relating to lawyers’ ethical obligations when dealing with cryptocurrency.
