Megan C. Williams is an Associate Attorney based out of the firm’s Miami office. Her practice is focused in the areas of complex commercial litigation, international and domestic arbitration, and transactional matters. Megan brings a thoughtful and strategic perspective, focusing on efficient solutions that align with her clients’ goals.

Overview

Megan has successfully represented clients in high-stakes business disputes in both state and federal courts across the United States, as well as arbitral tribunals such as the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.  Her experience covers a wide variety of matters, including contractual disputes, corporate governance issues, fraud-based claims, and real estate.  Combining her strong foundation in commercial litigation with a practical and result-oriented approach, Megan frequently coordinates on global litigation strategy on matters involving multiple jurisdictions and tribunals, and often involving international matters for clients abroad. Megan is valued for her clarity, precision, and proactive approach to advancing cases toward resolution. 

On the transactional side, Megan focuses her practice on sports, entertainment, and corporate deals, including representing professional athletes and entertainers in successfully closing on name, image, and likeness deals and in structuring their personal investments.  Having been an athlete herself, Megan understands the importance of having trusted advisors to support an athlete’s goals on and off the field.  Megan also assists startups, established companies, and investors across the country by working with them to maximize the benefits of their corporate formation and structuring, licensing, and intellectual property.

Megan earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was an active member of the International Moot Court Program. Prior to law school, Megan received her undergraduate degrees in International Business and Spanish with minors in Latin American Studies and Conflict and Resolution Studies at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, Pennsylvania.

Megan was born and raised in Bay Village, Ohio and is fluent in Spanish.
