Last month, SFL Partner David Levine served as moderator and panel chair in Washington D.C. at the Annual Conference for the American Bar Association’s Section of International Law. David’s panel, entitled “Next-Day Service of Process Using Amazon Prime? Alternative Service under Rule 4(f)(3) in the Digital Age” discussed how federal courts handled alternative service requests during the COVID pandemic and provided their audience of lawyers from around the world with a comparative outlook on how courts in other countries have treated similar service issues.
David serves as the co-chair of the International Ethics Committee for American Bar Association’s Section of International Law and his panel comes on the heels of a publication he co-authored on alternative service under Rule 4(f)(3) entitled Covid Relief? Not From FRCP Rule 4, 55 The Year in Rev. 530 (2021).
