Court Finds Personal Jurisdiction Over 2 Defendants in FXWinning FOREX Lawsuit

SFL attorneys David M. Levine, Fausto Sanchez, Chad Purdie, and Robert Kemper recently obtained a 28-page decision ruling in their favor by finding two defendants subject to the Court’s personal jurisdiction.  On September 18, 2024, Complex Business Litigation Division Judge Walsh found in favor of SFL’s client and denied two defendants’ motions to dismiss on personal jurisdiction grounds. SFL’s client sued a forex exchange trading platform called FXWinning for more than $20 million. Following jurisdictional discovery, numerous lengthy briefs, and after conducting a multi-hour evidentiary hearing, the Judge entered a 28-page order siding with SFL’s client and denying two of the defendants’ motions to dismiss on personal jurisdiction grounds.
